" I'll stay here if you don't come back within a day I'm going after you." She yelled as she dressed herself. Smiling that he would return.

Darlena took out a parchment and left a message for Elindar to meet her at the observatory but then torn the parchment up.
" I'll come with you this time..."

Corindas had pulled a chair beside the bed Nobel lay in. There was something about the tall human that instantly put her at ease, despite his stature.
She sensed that the inhabitants of Sondereel were different from most of the tactless humans that crossed her path. She had never visited the little fishing village before. It was a simple outpost, with tall wooden stakes providing protection from the nearby barrow cultists. The village enjoyed being under the guardianship of nearby Forkwatch castle.
“Nobel?” said the human, drawing her attention to him once more. She cursed herself inwardly – Elindar had always warned her about her wandering mind. She could not help her latent curiosity but she certainly did not want to appear rude.
“Yes, I am listening Sir,” she replied with a smile. She wished she could sit up to carry on a proper conversation but her shoulder still gave her too much pain.
“Do you remember anything about what happened last night? Can you recall any details of your attack?”
The gnome frowned. “Nay, I can recall seeing the lights of your village here… I can remember a pain and see myself falling forward… some shouting… hmmm, I’m afraid that is all. I’m not sure what attacked me. Yet be sure that I am quite grateful for the aid your villagers provided! Surely I would have been killed were it not for their assistance!”
Corindas nodded slowly. He glanced over and caught Felix’s eye. “I need to find Katherine and the other elders. They need to be made aware of what has happened here. There will be some decisions to make shortly.”
“Right away, sir!” said the young man, as he left the cabin.
“Excuse me, Sir,” Nobel inquired. “What kind of decisions do you speak of? I assume that you won’t be keeping me as a prisoner of some sort?” The gnome chuckled as she said it, but her helplessness worried her somewhat. She certainly could not expect a rescue from Elindar or her other friends.
Corindas smiled sadly. “Your words weigh heavily on me, and as I discuss this with you I believe you will see why. Nobel, you are changed this day… can you not sense it?”
Maybe he is like the other crazy humans, the gnome thought. What in Brell’s name was he talking about?
“I assume my name is not familiar to you,” Corindas continued, rising from the chair to pace around the room. “You might not even know of my more powerful brethren – Levandius and Dorandas of the wolf and bear clans. I am of the lion clan, Nobel – and now so are you. The creature which attacked you yesterday eve was a werelion.”
For the first time in her life, Nobel’s voice stopped working.

Darlena rushed behind Elindar even though he was moving alot faster than she was. But even so she knew where he was going. She kept off the main roads as she got closer and closer to the gnome's mechanical house. She cloaked herself in shadows and moved closer till she was able to see him. He had just went into the house and there was several other elves there. Darlena thought about using the stone but elected to wait till he was done with what his father summoned him for.

Darlena watched as Elindar lead his followers of towards the north. She found a cloak and ripped a shirt from a clothesline to make a mask for herself hiding all but her eyes and some of her red hair in the front, but it helped to hide her eyes from easily being seen by passer bys. She hid her sword because it would be reconized as a teir'dal weapon, and after a bit of walking around the area she came across a long sword and shield and a bow and arrows. A smile came across her face as she collected the weapons and joined in behind the group. They looked back at her with a bit of suspision but when they saw her hair they continued on with a bit of small talk to her. She thought Elindar might reconize her voice after the men had satisfied themselves with her responces. She sighed in relief when they stopped asking where she was from and why she was so covered.
:: Only my husband is allowed to see my face.:: She chuckled under her breath from that answer she gave.

They made their way down the backside of the observatory. She kept to the back of the group as Elindar lead on, but she could smell the scent of another Tier'dal somewhere. The scent seemed to be following her, watching her but no threating presence with it. She thought it was someone sent by Nikkii to keep an eye out on her and her dealings with Elindar. She stopped to look behind her but couldn't pinpoint the source, so she continued on as they entered the snow lands north of Tethelin.

I took a moment to water my steed, something felt amiss. I worried about my darling safe back in the tent. The foreboding feeling that descended on me was reminiscent of previous dealings with Darlena's kin. The love I feel for her may have dulled my sense of danger. Luckily she is not here to laugh at my folly I pulled on the reins and headed further north.

Darlena smiled at Elindar under her mask as she noticed him deep in thought. She came beside him and gave her horse some water once they was finished and Elindar led them off she fell back in at the rear of the group. The smell of another Teir'dal continued but remained hidden still. Darlena knew it couldn't hurt her so she continued to ignore it as they neared the ice caves. She made sure her sword and shield was ready as they dismounted their steeds. She armed herself with the bow and kept back as Elindar began to explain his plan.

Listening to him speak made her proud. She kept silent as the group of elves made ready at the top of the mountain.
I don't know how long I can pull being a dal. But I owe him this for his kindness and belief in me.
"Hey you."
Darlena was shocked back to reality by one of the men taking her arm and leading her over.
" We are to take this side..... are you sure you don't want to remove that veil? It might get in the way if things get heated."
" No ... I said my husband wishes that my face stay hidden from others when I am not with him. Besides why does it interest you? I'm sure one of the other women here peaks your interest more."
" Yeah ... but Elindar is a tough act to follow some many wish to entertain him and only turn to us common men once he has left."
Elindar was satisified with the positioning of his troops and took the lead as his attack on the cave began. But a voice came into her head as she followed. it was that of Nikkii's
What do you think your doing girl we have matters here in Neriak that you should be focusing on and yet you seek further defilement from that elf. Come home soon or else I will send for you..... and you better still be pure.

Darlena ignored the words from Nikkii and started fighting the invaders of the elemental caves. Elindar was deep into the combat, which was something that she never would have thought he was capable of when she first came to kara. Slowly but steadily they cleared the invaders away so far only losing a few of their own. Darlena had been mostly using the bow but was running low on arrows, and she knew she her fighting style would be reconized by the elves as that of a shadowknight.
" To the inside my warriors ... We will make quick work of the remaining invaders. "
Darlena tighted her hood and mask before heading into the cave, closely followed by the curious ranger behind her. Fighting was herd throughout the cave and soon they was apon Elindar surrounded by attackers he was doing well but a few from behind threaten to strike him down. Before she knew it she moved between them and blocked them from Elindar. She held them away with her sword and shield but in moving so fast her hood fell off and mask loosen. The ranger behind her looked at her with an evil smile as he cut down the two.
" So this is why you have the coverings.. Lord Elindar what should we do with this Teir'dal scum. I think it was a ploy to get to you."

" No I'm not here to kill him I was helping him."
Darlena knew her words was falling on deaf ears. Elindar had a look of worry on his face, this let her know it was time to run. As she stepped of to run two sharp pains hit her legs, then the sence of warm liquid followed. When she looked back as she fell to the ground to see an arrow in each leg.
" Stop this ... please I was only helping if I wanted to harm him I would have done so long ago. "
" Silence wench..."
The elf took a club and struk Darlena knocking her out. He lifted her up and looked to Elindar.
" We must take her to the govenor... he would love to question her."

" Lets go... lord Elindar the matter he is done sir."
" Give her to me... I'll take her to my father personally. Finish off the others here and I will meet you back inside of Tethelin."
Elindar scooped Darlena out of the mans arms and walked out and draped her over his horse. He sat her up against him and started back towards tethelin.
" I asked you to remain behind.... but you'll be ok. Once father sees you he'll understand."
He looked down to her legs and broke the tips of the arrows off and pulled the rest through. Darlena winched a bit and fell back unconcious. Soon the tree city has visible in the distance. He charged his horse and held onto her as he entered the town. Several gaurd came up to him as he dismounted.
" Congradulations sir ... you caught one of those vile slayers from neriak... and she has red hair ...."
" Move aside .. please tell my father I have returned.. and I have a guest quickly go now."
Elindar took her upstairs and into his room laying her on the bed. He brushed her hair aside and kissed her forehead.
" Sit tight I'll get my father up to speed."

Hours went by and night fell on the city in the trees. The crowd that surrounded the Starsong house has disperced and the people was settling back in their own homes. Darlena had started to come to and the first thing she saw was a girl changing the bandages on her legs.
" Who are you?" Darlena said as she sat up sharply.
"I have never seen a teir'dal so close before your beautiful.... no wonder my brother likes you. But your hair is different its not white like I herd your kind normally has."
" He never told me about you before."
"He rarely does... its just the way he is."
Soon a sight knock came at the door as it pushed open followed by an older looking elf he almost looked as if in equal age to her mother. He approached Darlena and knelt down infront of her to examine her legs.
" Your luckly nothing major was hit. So your the one that was going to slay the kara villagers.... you belonged to the N'siers and now the O'seths..... yes girl I knew all along even before my son told me of you.... Even your condition"
" Then your going to have me killed for my crimes and trespasing?"
" Tonalay ...leave us please I need to speak with my posible daughter-in-law."

" Daughter -in-law? My leige I'm not sure if that would even be allowed.."
He held his hand up to her with a smile to stop her short in her speech.
" I told my son I can't openly help or support you but I just can't let you walk out in the city as you are. I notice an item I thought no longer existed on you."
He held out the gemstone that she had gotten from her house. She held it up to the light and gazed into it.
" My dear with a little tinkering I will make it so you can spend a day as a dal ..... but it will need to recharge after a day so atleast everyother day you kids can spend time together."
Darlena leaped off the bed and hugged the govenor so tightly and kissed him on the cheek.
" Thank you so much.... I would be happy to spend just one day like that."
" I knew you would I'll have someone get on it right away. Till then make yourself comfortable till Elindar returns from the north and ....... Don't mind Tonalay she is young and just lost her mother so she is trying to cope with it the best she can."
Meanwhile Nikkii was on her way to the treed city of Tethelin. Though she was blocked in Klick and attacked she left them with only one gnome death and went around Lake Neriak. Soon she would be on the road between Fayspires and Tethelin. Darlena and Tonalay made alot of small talk mainly of what Neriak was like and how she met her brother till she fell asleep. Nikkii had made it to the trainer Dolby and took him by surprise as he was unable to speak at the sight of the dark priestess as she passed him and over the bridge.

Nikkii walked rather slowly but in full confidence that she could handle anything that any elf could hand her. The treetop city's light was plainly visable in the night as she stayed on the road to the city. Darlena had went back and fell asleep in Elindar's bed unaware that her mother was closing in and her intent was returning to Neriak with her.
" Halt you vile woman .... You have no bussiness in these lands."
Warden Bladecaller had saw Nikkii and stood in her way. He knew he was no match for her alone but he wasn't going to let that stop him from trying. He inched closer to the now annoyed Nikkii who just simply looked at him in discust.
" I am here for my daughter Darlena. You can either tell me where she is or I kill you here...... I'm sure the govenor here knows where she is since his son is has been courting her."
Bladecaller's eyes widen as he remebered a teir'dal girl brought to the govenor's home by Elindar and that she may still be there. He didn't like the idea of a dark elf in his city much less two but if that one was here to take the other away then he could allow her there. With a smile he sheathed his swords and bowed to Nikkii.
" Yes .... there was an injured teir'dal with red hair brought here today.... please follow me and I'll have to ask that you check your weapons in before you go within the city limits with one of my guards."
" Verywell but she better still be in good health or I'll do something very drastic."
" She is with the govenor himself and you must ask him if he would release his prisoner."
Nikkii follwed the warden into the city and soon she was face to face with Goevnor Starsong himself. He dismissed the warden and gestured for Nikkii to sit down. He pulled a chair up and sat nearby her with a smile.
" I assume your here for Darlena"
" Yes... now release her so that we can be on ourr way back home."
" Lady Nikkii..... your not as terrible looking as the tales make you out to be. I see where she got her good looks from, but yu see my son is happy with her here for right now and she is much the same way. Why don't you stay her one day and let the children have one day together."
At that time Elindar rushed into the room and frowned at the sight of Nikkii. Nikkii didn't meet his gaze instead she thought on the matter further before she looked over to the bard then to the govenor.
" One day.... but even then She wouldn't walk freely."
" Wrong again M'lady... She had and elf stone in her possesion so they two will be just fine till then you can stay at the lodge until tomorrow evening I'll walk you there myself. Son she is with your sister.... take the pendant to her and enjoy yourselfs."
Elindar smiled and took the pendant from his father and departed for his home where Darlena was as Nikkii was escorted to the lodge by the govenor. He explained her daughters exploits and good deeds before he got her setteled in for the night.
