In no particular order:
- Banff National Park, Alberta -- Zug and I went on our honeymoon there and think we might end up living in Canmore someday! Zug will work as a fishing guide on one of the lakes and I will work on wildlife educational programs.
- San Francisco, CA -- Loved it, great city, great food, great climate. Also really enjoyed Monterrey and how you can take a boat out of the harbour and see humpback whales in less than an hour.
- Yosemite Park, CA -- So beautiful, well worth the drive -- I imagine several car accidents result from the spectacular view you see upon exiting one of the entrance tunnels!
- Heidelberg, Germany -- Some old friends of mine lived here. I really enjoyed checking out the town and the castles surrounding it. Very friendly people and fantastic beer.
- Vancouver, BC -- I love the pace of life here, was so different from Toronto. Stanley Park is great. If Canmore doesn't work out, this might ;D Checked out Vancouver Island too, whale watching and all that good stuff (sensing a pattern here? lol)
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil -- Went here for work a few years ago. I've heard it's much dirtier and more dangerous than it once was, but it is a beautiful place. Disappointing that the only wildlife I saw was pigeons and roaches
- Dragon Bay, Jamaica -- Believe it or not, ! was also in Jamaica for work, primarily in Kingston (NOT a place to visit). Went to Dragon Bay on a weekend and was amazed by the wildness of it. The real Blue Lagoon is here and is incredible -- I can't remember the exact stats but it's hundreds of feet deep. The upper layer of the water is cold, as it's fed from freshwater springs around the lagoon, and then the lower level of the water is as warm as bath water. Weird sensation!
Sorry for the blathering... I'd love to hear about some cool places other people have been to!
