Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm a cat lover over a dog lover. I was just saying that my cats don't show any of the bad characteristics that Bubbs was saying cats do. I like dogs just as much as I like cats. I mean sure my cats are obviously smarter and it could be even said that they possess more personality, but you've got to love a dogs unquestioning and undying loyalty.

give me a snake and im a happy camper. we do have a cat tho, apsu. and she is a real bitch, sry for the language but its the only way to describe her. she is my s/o's baby, and she dam well knows it. she is fat and spoiled, i do alot of the spoiling tho. if i get too close to my s/o when she is around she comes up onto his lap tween us and makes sure she glares at me. and if we are fighting she will sit there watching us and glaring at me. but every so often she will ignore him and come to me and crawl all over me and leave all her fuzz behind, i think she does this intentionally. but i do love her and have come to trust that she will be around for awhile..lol

Lol! Sounds like your pet has the attititude thing down. I love it! And yes, I am sure she leaves her fuzz all over you on purpose. What other reason would there be for her to be friendly? Lol!

give me a snake and im a happy camper. Our poor Veiled Chameleon Chippy is on his last legs. In fact he may have expired already I am terrified to go home...He lived a good life though, 3+ years (good for a male Veiled) of climbing his Ficus tree and his Pothos...and drinking from his very own Fountain. I am going to miss how he puffed up and hissed at me when he felt threatened and how it would turn Bright yellow or Red when he got excited. Or shooting crickets out of my hand with his 8 inch tongue

I kept many snakes when I was younger and found the most docile to be a ring neck snake or a dekay snake. They are local to me not sure if you will find in a shop..but they are extremely docile. I find that corn snakes and garter snakes can be a bit grumpy. Just a word of warning. Snakes are the great escape artists...size makes no difference. Other people I have spoken with agree (in fact it caused my one friend who was the head of education at our local Natural History Museum to scour a van for two hours after she took a trip to a school. lol) so, just accept it will escape and hopefully you will find it quickly.

lol ya i know bout the hudini tricks snakes are capable of, i used to own a ball python, named damien. someone, former b/f i think, left a corner of his lid open and he escaped, we never found him, but my former mother in law did, he apparently got downstairs and hid behind some shelves down there, he got stuck trying to get out and died. thankfully we were away when she found him otherwise she would have killed us..lol..she hated snakes. but the province we live in says its illegal for us to own pythons. we can have garters and milk snakes adn we cant feed them live bait. so i may have to wait till i can get back to B.C. to get my python.

Cat person all the way, no doubts.
I have two amazing cats that cause an endless amount of trouble and joy.
Titus, my oldest, is just over a year now and is the classic example of a 'gentle giant'. He'll let the other, younger and much scrawner cat pound on him and in the end he just licks the other cat until he goes away. He also plays fetch and keeps trying to bury his food bowl! He'll take a sock or pair of boxers out of the hamper and cover the food dish with it!
Diddo is the youngest, and a complete hellion. He's incredibly scrappy and has no fear of anything. He unlocks doors, even when they're locked. Opens the freezer door (we still don't know how). He likes to take showers and baths. Yes, a cat that loves water... He also plays fetch, but only with his pink ball. You throw any of the other colors and he just looks at you like 'Hey stupid, the pink one?' He also likes to submerge his ball in the water bowl and bathtub...
Yep, cats have far more personality than dogs, in my opinion...

Yup, I have to totally second that. Cats rock! I wouldn't say they have more personallity than dogs, but they certainly do have different life styles, one that I prefer. For one thing, you don't have to take them out all the time, and to wear them out, or play with them does not require to much effort. And what better to ease your deep studies for an exam or such than to have your cat come and plop its rearend right down on top of your papers under your nose and the look at you like "What? Is there a problem?" LOL! LOVE THEM!
