welll Zat has said on the main boards that this is not in the future for eqoa and that it was a advertisement comic or somthin but personaly i think thats poop and now im going to tell you why.
1. i have played this game since release and never have i seen anything about this.
2.Zat's 2 replys were short and well she sounded kinda POed.
3.We havents had an expansion in a while
With the PS3 coming sometime next year i think that they are making an expansion that will port the game to the PS3. I believe this because of one maor thing and that would be the subscription fee increase. when fronts cmae out there were no increases so why now at what would seem like a pretty random time? im thinkin its because they have begun developing an expansion and since they increased fees i think it will be for ps3 since it probaably cost more to develop something for it than the ps2.
This may sound crazy or even retarted to some but this is my personal conspiracy theory...the truth is out there

well I think the fee increase is easily explained that sony is losing money across the board on all of their eq games. this wasn't just a eqoa increase, it was all of thier rpgs. I think that sony is trying to compensate for the loss of many customers to WoW. How do i know it was an across the board hike you ask? well because I play the computer version now and we just had the hike also. so there is my two cents for what it is worth, since i don't get to post on this board very often.

you could be right, but I thought I would just point out that there has been a subscription hike across the board.

I agree that there will be no expansion. I don't see 1 fee raise in three years as anything abnormal....just simple inflation...go fill up your car. Anyway I did see a headline (sound was off) on CNBC yesterday that Microsoft had inked a deal with Marvel (with an xbox 360 behind them). We are lucky to have Zat and Saph....wish they had been running the show from the get go...but I don't think for a 30,000 subscriber base it is worth it to make an expansion, If you look at EA's balance sheet you can just do simple division and see that it takes 10s of millions to develop a superior game so....I hate sounding like a naysayer, however, there are a few benefits from a smaller community such as quest mobs actually being up when you want them, and the like... I think her POed attitude came from the fact she is being forced to divert time from other projects to address this. Anyway, we are still having fun, and none of us has experienced the whole game by any means, so.... =)

I don't think I'll spend money on another SOE game after this one. Maybe it's different in the lands of EQ and EQII where they actually seem to respect their customers. Zatozia and Sapph are great but there's only so much they can do. I know Severe felt how little they cared about EQOA when he went to the convention in Las Vegas. The phrase "pimple on an elephant's butt" comes to mind

I have started playing a new pc game lineage 2 and the gm on it are alot more active in the dealings on the server. there is even with no duel invite to fight on it so its a bit more dangerous to xp alone.

I....I hate sounding like a naysayer.... I hate to sound even worse than a naysayer, a doomsdayer , I see Everquest phazing out a few of the divisions and focus on EQ II which has steadily been declining from what I hear. Everyone is leaving for WoW or other games.
