Welcome to the RPA forums. This thread is here for the sole purpose of getting you acquainted with our forums and giving you a few base rules we follow.
When making a new account, where it asks for your username is what you will type to log in. Where it asks for full name, it asks for the name you want to be viewed from posts and profiles, etc. Full name can be changed via your profile. Please, when you register, make your full name the name of the character you are playing to roleplay as.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules:
1. The RPA fully supports SOE's terms of service (TOS). Roleplaying does not allow you to train people, kill steal, harrass people ooc, or grief people in any other way. These rules apply to IN-game and Forum conduct. The RPA membership/administrators will revoke membership and ban individuals who violate these rules or become a disruptive element in the RPA.
2. Be an active member. Simply put, if you make the commitment to be a part of the RPA, then make that commitment with the intention of playing your RPA character as much as you can. Participate as much as you possibly can. Post a ton of this forum, introduce yourself at the census office, write stories, read all the lore, contribute to ooc discussion, organize your own events, advertise the RPA to gain more members, etc. Our success is all about the participation of our current RPA members. The more we participate across the game and forums, the more members we will bring in, and the more fun it will become.
3. The RPA is a membership based association. Administrators/Council memebers do not hold positions of leadership in the association. Rather they are an elected group of volunteers from the members to help others, and help organize events for the RPA. All members of the RPA have equal standing from the newest to the oldest having an equal say in all things. The RPA does conduct meetings, which you should try to attend. Often issues beforre the RPA membership is posted to the forums. You should try to keep up to date by checking the forums regularly. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact one of the administrators.
4. It is possible that your game character may have a disliking with another RPA member's character. Do not bring that to the OOC level. You can be the worse of enemies during gameplay, but the best of friends as RPA members.
5. As this is a community for the young and old alike, do not use strong profanity or graphic sexual language. Such postings will be deleted immediately and the person will be warned that similar posts will resut in revolking their posting privileges, or even banned from the site altogether.
6. Characters and story ideas belong to the authors of the RPA. Do not use, adapt, copy or publish stories posted on this website without the express permission of the author(s). The world of Norrath and its creatures belong to Sony Online Entertainment.
Be respectful and considerate of others. Contribute your creative ideas and energy. Focus on having fun.
