This thread was inspired by a particularly memorable death suffered by wee Nobel last night. So I was in Kelinar, resting in a tower which boasted not one but two fine guards. I figured I'd be safe to let my health and mana regenerate a bit. Lo and behold, a Withered (a type of treant) wanders up to the door of the tower and I suppose it saw through my invis. I thought to myself, no problem, I'll just run up to the top of the tower. There's no way a massive treant could follow me up these narrow walkways! Right? Hellooooooo Spiritmaster  Oh, and in my travels last night I also spotted an ebony recluse but stayed well away from it. One of Elindar's prior characters enjoyed a quick death at the hands of that invis-seeing, sow-possessing spider!! |

hmmm lets see, i too have met the ebony recluse on a personal level.
but i would have to say the most fun deaths are:
when i had the old merrimekko, she used to be a shaman. my friend feadin was on his old main wilks, whos a druid. his group was up at the lady vox's castle. i was only like lvl 20 or something like that. i went and visited him and his friends. i kept out of the way and invisid. adn around the corner came this mob that i didnt see, but he saw me right thru my invis. wilks hit me with heal which ticked once and poof i was dead. laughing the whole time. wilks grp died as well he was the last to go.
new merri, same place. lol and same person. but different reason. we were up there with three other guilds raiding. or attempting to. what ended up happening is that we all went lookin for dragons couldntt find any so we did a few circles around the castle. i was following the main tank a little too closely, i was supposed to stay between the tank and my friend so they both could keep an eye on me. the tank went around the corner and i followed and ran face first into a casting wolf.
there are prolly others but i only woke up a few minutes ago so im not on 100% yet. lol

For me the best death came from some Giant golem the anvil of something or something with my enchanter Pnut. I tried to sneak by him and 99999....

All I can say its nothing like having an IoD raid go horrible wrong and 20 plus guildmember get chased all over and get killed one by one and the super casting long argo ranging sow having undead mobs...
( And I got it by 2 at the same time because of paniced running)

This one is less spectacular, but I thought I'd share. I recall one time when Nobel was level 6 or so, and I thought I'd take a shortcut over the hill right before the entrance to the city of Klick, thinking that nothing should be able to kill me within such a short distance to my starting city. Nobel, meet Ancient Clockwork. Dam, that thing must have a bad grudge. Not right for clockworks to go around killing gnomes, not right at all!!  |

Mine wiuld have to be wgen i made my 1st delf i had gone outside for one of my starting quest and ran up the volcano ( didnt know it was a volcano at the time) i ran straight up and hello a yellow red face comes up it aggros and i start runnin and i ran into the volcano but i took it out with me since i got 1000 xp from it on the you have died screen
