Naldany made her way to the Neriak library, whispering and giggles could be herd from other women as she passed and then the looks from them said it all. They knew what happened .... and she was abandoned by her husband. She was a laughing stock despite the rumor of the child's power. An O'seth woman rejected was unthinkable, even the servants of the house men and women possessed great beauty so how could a man simply walk out. Naldany bit her lip as she passed into the library.

Her goal was to master the lightning itself, she saw how much it hurt Loveless. She wanted the same look for Phelan... He had her ready to cast aside her aunts teaching and attempt to live as his right hand but then at his first opportunity his fled without her and his son. She sat Aramis on the floor behind her her and let him crawl about the area as she looked through the large books. As she read she held her hand out and chanted a spell. Soon a ball of lightning formed in her hand as she focused on it, until she herd Aramis giggling. When she peered over to look he had done the same thing and did in both hands.

" Amazing ..... you are simply amazing Aramis. "


He giggled as the light flashed about.

Aramis continued to minic the magics that his mother did in the back of the library until they had drawn a crowd. She selected the books she requiered and collected Aramis and left back to the chruch. She thought of ways of using her sword to channel a blast like she could a strike would be enough to catch her speedy husband off guard. Aramis could almost feel her resentment towards his father and became fussy. He started wiggling and screaming, causing a commotion outside the magic guild. Some of the women scoffed at them as they passed while the men wanted to help but knew better than to do so. After awhile Aramis settled down and she hurried to the church. Once she got there she asked the guard if Nikkii and Lilyth was still inside and if they was to bring a blanket for her out behind the church. The guard told her that Nikkii was still inside but Lilyth had went to a tavern, Naldany nodded and went behind the church and soon after a blanket and milk was brought for Aramis by one of the servants.

Naldany began focusing her energy as Aramis drank his milk and looked on. She manage to change her strike into that of one with an electrical nature. She formed it into sharpen shards of energy and sent it towards a wall. The shards stuck deep into the wall before exploding, breaking off a few bricks.

" I need to get faster with it or he might escape it or get too close to me."

Naldany continued to do the same spell for hours until she was nearly exhausted. Aramis had fallen sleep again and it was nearly time for dinner as the family began returning from the days duties. Once she returned the child to his crib she would speak to Nikkii on how to start his teaching.

Nikkii and sevral other priest and preistesses was gathered near the dining hall, it looked like some of the young acolytes was also in attendence. Hmm a class she seemed to be teaching right now she thought to herself. Nikkii looked up from her gathering at Naldany and motioned for her to come over. As she did, she sent the rest of them away to prepare for dinner.

" What is it child? " Nikkii said while reaching for Aramis's hand.

" I think he can do alot more than I first thought. He was mimicing my spells without chanting a single word and in Freeport he used a spell like yours to heal Adaun although it wasn't on your level of power, still he did it."

" Adaun...... She has yet to return here and Darlena is still off in elven lands... I regret to say it but I might have to force her to remain inside Neriak next time she returns.... But, I realized that long before today that that infant could do that."

" Well I need to take a walk and get some outside air before dinner starts.... Will you watch him for awhile?"

Nikkii smiled and nodded to her. " He is in the best of care just try not to take too long I will send a few escort with you, now hurry along."

Naldany lowered her head and left for the city gates with two of the guardsmen behind her. Before long they was outside the city and standing at the bottom of the ramp. The shos outside was beginning to close up for the evening and Naldany sat perched on one of the large stone blocks overlooking the shops.

" Why don't you two go dow there I'll be ok right here if anthing should happen you still close by."

The men smirked at her and went down into the shopping area but took care to keep sight of Naldany.

" I will show him .... His son will be just like his great Aunt he will command respect and not abandon his so called love ones as his cowardly father."

The two gaurdsmen came back deep in conversation with eachother. They seem to be in awe as they walked up to Naldany.

" M'lady there are rumors that there was two attacks on Neriak this day by dal invaders."

" So ... there is nothing special about that.... they send groups to attempt to capture nobles."

" They say the lord Patryas defeated alot of them .... and Lord Phelan dispatched even more single handed."

" Phelan .... He's here?" An evil smile came over her countance. " Then you should spred the word.. take me home and if Phelan should show allow him in but not see me till I have him in a posistion that escape is impossible. Then I will deal with him personally."

The walk back to the church was quiet and quick. Naldany seemed to be in a hurry to return to see Nikkii. Before long they was back at the church and dinner was started.

" Naldany I thought I said not to take to long..."

" I'm sorry auntie ... but I herd news of my husband.."

" Oh.." Nikkii stopped eating and gave a look of real interest. " Is he dead yet?"

" No ... I was told a rumor that he single handedly stopped a dal attack on Neriak."

" Hmmmm I had been hearing such things but we can't be certian till he decides to stop hiding and make himself seen to us.... I will keep Aramis with me for now I will be teaching and guiding him for the next few months to come. You did very well with him and now
I'll take things further, you focus more on your own studies."

Days went on and she studied harder and Nikkii and Aramis became closer. More and more Nikkii started to mold him into her image as Naldany conjoured magic without chanting now. Her spells got quicker and more deadly as she pictured Phelan being on the recieving end of it all.

" Coward.. I bet its all a lie... you wished me to turn my back on the O'seths and follow you then when you felt like you was far enough you ran... I hate you."


Soon Lilyth came into the area... still showing her undergarmets under her see through robe.

" I have news for you child... my servants told me that Adaun is at the house of Fenn'dal.... perhaps if the rumors are true he might come see her or at the least she knows where to find him."


" So ... Adaun is loyal to her cowardly brother ... but i guess I could see how she's doing. And if she will return to the guard."

" Very good ...But while your over there could you aquire a peice of Patryas garmets.... its a silly hobby I have I just love the smell of fellow nobles.."

Naldany rolled her eyes and closed her books. She looked back and without a further word left for the the Fenn'dal house. Lilyth smiled knowing that her plan was going along as planned. Naldany took her time going around to the house and sent her pet ahead to alert the servants.Soon she would be at the door to meet Adaun once more.

Naldany approached the guards and introduced herself. She asked if Adaun was still within the halls and if Patryas was home. The gaurds spoke very little and took her inside and showed her to the room where Patryas normally greeted his guest.

" Miss please be seated and someone will be here to see you soon enough."

Naldany looked around the room a bit obseverving the portraits of the room. And the colder atmosphere sent chills down her spine. She did as the servant said an sat in a chair ..... starting to wonder if this was truley a good idea.

Naldany's patence ran out as the Fenn'dal house had finally unnerved her. She thanked the servants and asked to borrow a shirt of Patryas to which the servant humbly lowered his head and said he could not without his masters permission but would ask and send word to her personally. He walked her out of the door and the guards saw her safely back withing the church walls.

The hour was getting late and she didn't wish to wake her aunt or tell the strange visitor Lilyth that she didn't get a piece of clothing. She went towards her room trying to avoid any contact even from the guards that she told to keep an eye out for Phelan. She took her sword out from her sash and carried it in hand to the door. Not really noticing that the door was opened recently she took a deep breath and started to break down and cry as she walked though the room.

Her husbands words did her a bit of good as she walked to her aunts room to get her son. She would get that lieutenant later for his action. Nikkii hadn't even made it to her room when Naldany came behind her.

" I'm hear now aunt."

" Here you go then I have had my fill for the day of him.. He quit listening to me. I'm leaving you and Phelan in charge I'm going after my daughter..... She refuses to return home so I better get her before the hunters find her."

" Aunt Nikkii why not let her stay.... she never acts happy here."

" I don't want a halfbreed grandchild...."

Nikkii went inside and slammed the door in Naldany's face. " I shouldn't be more than a few days.."

" Yes Aunt...." Naldany turned and went to the courtyard to continue the childs training. Soon after Nikkii was in her full armor and robe, now waisting much time she left the church heading for the elvin land of tethelin.
