Armor is not enjoyable in the rain.
Armor is not enjoyable in the sun.
Armor is not enjoyable in the snow.
Hakiko had pledged to spend practically his whole life in armor.
He turned to the Cleric of Prexus walking beside him.
"What type of fur is it you need exactly?"
"There are diseased lions to the east I need to bring back a fur sample so we can find a cure."
Great more time wasted tramping around in the savanna while I could be studying the mysteries of Quellious.
Hakiko hefted his heavy sword, "Well, lets make this quick then Lady"
"Thank you"
As they walked east from town Hakiko's armor began to heat up in the sun. His body soon became sticky with sweat. He could feel the armor chaffing at the joints.
"Hold Lady, I must rest."
"Yes, the sun is a bit much, there is some shade over there."
When they were seated in the shade the cleric began fanning herself.
"What led you to the path of the paladin?"
"Oh my mother was a priestess of Quellious, my sister and I were raised in the church after my father's death. It was natural for me to take up service."
The cleric studied hs face carefully. "Your father was Hazzim the Sick, its true isn't it?"
Hakiko grimaced, "Yes, not the best kept secret in Highbourne."
"How old were you when he was......" she trailed off her face flushed with embarresment.
"Executed. I was ten. Don't be ashamed, my father was an evil man. Fortunatly I took after my mother."
"Well it is good that your sister and you were able to rise above your father's foul history"
Well I did anyway
"Yes, well our mother did her best to keep us from his dark path"
"She must be an incredi..."
The cleric was cut off by a feral growl and a flash of yellow as she was tackled by a mass of fur.
