the road to betrayal

[Shalandra]

shalandra is seen in a forest to the north of Neriak.

she is in search of a cave that she had come across once in her small travels.

the animals that were protecting the cave were a little tougher than she was at the time, she thinks that she would be able to go into the cave unharmed.

after wandering for a few days she finally sees the markings that she left for when she was last here.

after finding the markers she was able to find the cave without much trouble and she was correct to her thinking. the animals didnt even pay her attention.

she thought it was just an empty cave when she walked through the wall. it was quite shocking to walk through a wall.

on the other side of the wall she notices a table with parchments on them. many of them are illegible and when she picked them up they crumbled in her hands.

she spots a leather pouch of sorts, like a tube, sitting in the corner. she goes over to it and picks it up to look inside of it.

what she sees is another parchment. she pulls it out and finds a spell.

it doesnt take long for her to realize that it is a spell to raise the dead.

shalandra smiles to herself as she realizes what she held in her hands and she knows just what to do with the scroll.

she puts the parchment back into the leather pouch and puts it in her bag.

smiling she walks out of the cave and heads back to Neriak to find the one person who can help her with the parchment.

it doesnt take long for shalandra to get back to neriak.

once she gets there she realizes that she wont have to go far to find the person she is looking for.

her neice is missing and rumour has it that she has found her and is bringing her back.

so shalandra decides to hang around the inn and wait for them to show up.

why waste all that time looking when she could be sitting and enjoying a mug of ale.

and while she waits she can plan her revenge.

shalandra is sitting at a table at the inn drinking ale with the leather pouch laying on the table beside her mug when she hears the guards muttering about Lady Nikkii.


she smiles to herself and decides to wait for a perfect oportunity to show her the scroll she found.

[Shalandra]

shalandra decides that she has waited long enough. it is time to put her plan into action. it will take awhile to get all the actual plans together.

she gets up from the table she is at and goes up to the barkeep.

" give me some parchment and writing things"

" yes miss, right away"

she takes the stuff the barkeep put on the counter and walks back to her table.

it takes her awhile to write the note because writing isnt one of her best abilities, once it is finished she sees a young warrior standing at the counter and she walks up to him.

" You there, you know who Lady Nikkii is?"

" yes ma'am, everyone knows who she is"

" good, now you can take this message to her and only her, not her guards or anyone else, you hear me?"

" yes ma'am right away ma'am"

shalandra smiles as the young warrior runs out of the tavern. now that is more like it, everyone should be running like that when i speak.

she turns to the barkeep and hands back the writing stuff and pushes her mug at him. he quickly refills the mug and she heads back to the table to await the response.

shalandra was sitting at the table looking at her mug, trying to figure out if she should head to bed or get up to get another drink when the young warrior came running up to her table.

he hands her a message and runs from her with a look of fear in his face.

she opens the message and reads the contents then leans over to the candle and lights the parchment, before long it is only a small pile of ash.

" hmmm, i will need to find a place to stay for the night."

shalandra gets up from the table and heads outside, she will find a spot in the woods to sleep.

tomorrow will be an interesting day she thinks to herself and my revenge will be fullfilled at last.

that is if this is the spell that i am hoping that it is.

the next morning shalandra gets up and heads to the church to meet with Lady Nikkii.

she is hoping that what this scroll will get her attention and her wanting to use it, for shalandra knows the perfect candidate for such an experiment.

after speaking to Lady Nikkii shalandra heads to the great frozen north.

it will take her some time to get up there and come back down with what is up there.

she just hopes that she doesnt get herself caught while heading up there.

she cant afford to let things get in her way, she has to suceed with her plans.
