It was in the middle of the day, when the king received word that his wife was going to have a baby. It was time for the king to return home.
The king was filled with joy and wanted to be there when his wife had the baby.

It was still day when the king and his men began their journey home. They traveled all day to get as far as they could, passing many lands and mountains.
Until they reached a trail by the river. It was getting dark, so they stopped to find a place to rest. The king felt it was best to not continue.
The king thought about his wife and the baby. He was to be a father. That night the full moon came out, shining brightly, making shadows in the dark.
The next day they got up very early before dawn and continued on their way. The king knew they were making good time.

The queen sat by the window, feeling sad and worried that her husband was not home yet. The king had left home two months ago and she had not heard from him, but she knew he would come back.
She waited for her husband quietly. Soon she would have her baby and that made her cry with joy. But she hoped her husband would be home in time.
"I sit here alone", she said making her feel bad, "Soon my husband will come and my baby will be born." She then smiled and laughed, as she watched the sun come up outside the window.
She was having a baby. Where were her friends and guests? The queen was alone.
