The door to the tavern burst open letting in a cold burst of night air much to the displeasure of those near the door. In stepped a hooded stranger, and he proceeded to the back of the room, to the table in the corner.
He takes a seat across from the barbarian named Severdamage, who by this time is taken to an almost druken stupor.
The stranger places something upon the table covered in a cloth and speaks in low whispers to the barbarian.
SD blinks and nods not understanding half of what the guy was talking about, but his neck was sore and the nodding made it feel better.
When the stranger finished speaking he got up and departed speaking these last words...
So I leave this in your hands Darby, make sure you recover find the Statue of Ug and return to me the treasure as planned.
SD was confused, or was it this chap. He touched his chest, and thought I am me....who is Darby? Hic....and in his confusion only heard Find the Statue of Ug...hic....treasure as planned.
SD nodded again to make his neck feel better, and the stranger turned and left as quickly as he came.
Sd waved by at the strange funny man....and wiggled his fingers, and then passed out....
...hours later SD woke and he still felt the effects of the ale upon him...when his eyes focused, he saw the item on the table before him covered in a cloth. He vaguly remembered something or other about finding a Statue of....of.....Buuuurrpppp ...uuuggghhh....yeah that was it...Statue of Ug and something about treasure.
He reached forward and pulled the cloth and there was a very bright light filling the whole room. Everyone in the room saw it...and at first were apprehinsive, but then became curious and moved toward the table for a better look.
Elindor:: Hey SD, what you got there?
SD:: Shrugs...I dunnno, some guy left it here and called me Darby or something and said I had to find this Statue of Ug and the treasure it contained...
(whispers errupted around the room from all who were in ear shot...a rumor of treasure, and a misunderstanding was in most everybodies eyes, a chance for opportunity)
Elindor:: let me see that...
Elindor reached for what appeared to be a hand, or maybe a metal gauntlet which shined like glass.
As he touched the first finger, the hand began to hum and glow...
Elindor placed the hand upon the table and backed up...
SD looked at it and smiled...Hic....pretty.
Then a mist appeared over the hand and letters formed so that all could see.
To find the Statue of Ug, you must find 2 items. 1 will guide you its location, the other will lift the curse upon the statue long enough for you to get the treasure of Aznarth.
Only by placing the items in the hand will reveal the clue to the next items location.
You will need to find a ....
