I was wandering through the hills between Highpass Hold and the halfling village of Rivervale when the wondrous device I had obtained from Bubbeltroubl alerted me to a new hero that was making waves in the name of Brell Serillis in the dwarven land of Moradhim.
The image was blurry (I haven't seen bubbel in awhile to help me attune my device) but I could see a young dwarven warrior staring at me. I wished him a good day and he introduced himself as Thorgram Deepmug son of Dain. He spoke of his goals to defend the dwaven stronghold from the evil freezebloods. I had to run an errand for the good halfling Syrus Galestride but after fulfilling his quest I contacted the young dwarf and shortly thereafter met him for an ale at the inn near the Moradhim stables.
I found him to be a most agreeable chap, with ruddy cheeks and a bare scalp, I pulled up a chair and ordered us some meade. He explained how his father had been waylaid by the freezebloods and he was training hard to be able to avenge his sire's death. I asked him about some rumors of the tasks he had accomplished and his humility was most rare. As I listed his accomplishments, he almost belittled them. I was quite taken aback to be sure. Most dwarves were prone to drunkin elaborations while this whelp diminished his legend at every chance he got. I still came away from the meeting with several tales worthy of song. Unfortunately I was weary from my travels and had to rest early.
I have checked with the Doomseekers about my young friends progress and have learned that his progression through their ranks has been unparalled and that great things will be expected from him in the future.
