"Silence..." Phelan said to Loveless. "Any last words?... How bout a smile?" Phelan motioned to the guards who pulled Loveless flat accross the block.
"I will try to make it one clean cut." Phelan said

"Phelan there has to be a better way..." Adaun said she trailed off as Phelan glared at her.
"He is getting what he deserves. He thought he could control the little wretch of an elf, he was wrong, now he pays for her taking my child and she will pay also." Phelan said in a rough tone.
With that Phelan rose the sword above his head and swung it in a downward arc. The sword struck with a resounding crack as it wedged into the side of the block.
Phelan squatted down in front of Loveless' face.
"I spare your life today, but only because you can help me. Then if I see you again I will have your head. I was the only one here that did not want you harmed. Next time you partake in something you should think of the consequences." Phelan stood and removed his sword that was only inches away from Loveless' neck. He turned to the guards.
"I want his arms shackled behind his back and leg irons with the long chains for walking." Phelan said to them. Phelan winked at Adaun as he walked toward the gate.
Adaun shook her head in disbelief, she thought he was really going to kill him.

" I thought you was gonna do it..... well my'lady and lord she took a horse from the coachman right after she kicked me... I beleive she went towards freeport."
Naldany was starting to tire from her running. She reached down and tore the bottom of her robe to allow her legs more room to run. soon her owl returned to her and she was glad to see that and pushed herself harder. Meanwhile Mi'anna packed her belongings and placed Aramis in a backpack. She bid farewell to the the innkeep and departed for highpass.

Phelan, Adaun and Loveless were riding toward freeport with in an hour. Loveless sat sideways on the horse and hung on to the saddle for his life. somehow he had gotten his hands in front of him.
Phelan sprinted ahead of them, leaving Loveless in Adaun's care. He rode his horse to the brink of death as he came charging into Freeport.
"What did you do to my horse?" the coachman asked anger in his voice. Phelan grabbed him by the colar and slammed him against the wall.
"I rode it, do you have a problem with that?" He said in a snarl.
"Uh...N..n...no...I don't" The Coachman choked out.
"Have you seen an elf with a child come through here, more specifically, a Tier'dal child...My child." He said in another snarl.
"Yes...yess there was an elf with an infant that was crying, at least I think it was an infant, but she didn't stop here, she merely swapped horses and continued on, toward High Pass I would assume." The coachman said.
"I need a horse." Phelan said. The coachman was more than happy to hand Phelan a new horse to be rid of him.
"Oh one more thing, A Tier'dal with blonde hair and a companion will be coming through here soon, tell them to check at the inn and then tell them where I went." Phelan said from the horse, which side stepped with anticipation.
"Very Well." Said the coachman as he turned to help someone else.
Phelan took off in a could of dust, hoping that the Coachman didnt' lie to him.

Lecious and the silent master had followed a very long and difficult path. Lecious had used his magical training to track the baby's magical emanations all the way to Freeport before the two took a small break.
Lecious knew why the baby was being fought over. Such power in one so small was going to be great one day. But the silent master saw the baby as a great danger. His had some magical training, but not enough to fully understand. If it was up to him...... But it wasn't. He was half blaming himself for the kidnapping of the child. He was there when the child was born. He felt some kind of connection to the child. He pushed the feeling away.
"Lecious, we must be on the move. Phelan's drive to find his child has pushed him so hard he is already ahead of us," the silent master said to the wizard in his dark voice.
"The Highpass trade route, this way," Lecious replied. The wizard was having less trouble following the trail the farther they traveled from Tier'dal held lands.
The two servants of Fenn'dal traveled with an almost unnatural speed. As if their horses wanted to push themselves harder to find the child.
“Soon we will know where the child is. He is close,” Lecious said smiling.

Phelan whip the horse when it slowed. Normally he found this behavior appaulling but it didn't even phase him now. He had a scowl on his face as he rode leaning low over the horse.
In the distance he could see a lone figure running in the sand. It maybe Keyra he thought he kicked the horse hard and whiped it again with the flat of his blade, from somewhere deep with in the beast found the strength and speed to appease Phelan once more.

Even in the evening hours the sand still had retained most of its heat she had finally started to succumb to fatige and fell to her knees to catch her breath. All that mattered to her was getting Aramis back from the demented elf.
Keyra managed to lose te two hunters after she ran almost to Bastable village. Now it had begun to set in that she really needed to get the baby back before someone else took him, but the hunters would still be combing the roads and then pursuers from lady Nikkii might be closing in.
Aramis slept soundly inside of the backpack Mi'anna had modified for him as the caught a ride with some of the highpass guardsmen as they rode to meet the archmage of highpass at his tower. She keep a constant eye out for Keyra incase she returned for her baby, but till then the woman cared for him like he was her child. She would hope that the elf would be there somewhere or she might have to take him all the way to Hagly.

As Phelan approached the figure in the last breaths of day, the person fell to their knees. Phelan came close enough to see the dark skin and hurried forward. He jumped from the horse when he realized that it was Naldany in the sand.
"Naldany... are you ok?" Phelan said cradeling her in his arms.

" No ... she took my baby and they are at the inn further up the road.. I hate the elf ...go get Aramis please."
Naldany tried to push away from Phelan still worn out of breath and near exhaustion she just fell back into his arms crying and gripping his shirt.

Adaun tried to set a hard pace, but the horse that bore Loveless was to burdened by the extra heavy chains and shackles. Adaun tired of the slow pace and unhooked the leg shackles.
Phelan had sprinted off ahead of them some hours ago, they hadn't seen him since. Adaun wondered how everything would turn out. She glanced sidelong at Loveless who hadn't said a word since Phelan had left.

"We will get Aramis back, but we will do it together. Why didn't you take a horse?" Phelan said as he glanced back to make sure his horse hadn't wandered away.
Phelan stroked her hair gently as she cried. He wanted to cry too, but he couldn't. Images of tearing Keyra apart with his bare hands flashed through his mind. Phelan knew that Nikkii was very much responsible for this happening, first she brought Keyra back from the grave, a place where most would agree she belonged; second she left Aramis in the care of a servant, who didn't know left from right.
Phelan's body trembled as the hate and anger seethed through him. His blue eyes burned with an inner flame, his blades called for blood, elven blood. A call that Phelan was very willing to answer.

" Lady Adaun perhaps I could speed our travel by using my wolf form. And I can smell him out to make sure we stay on their trail. but its awful hard to pick up anything like this my'lady."
Loveless smiled at her while making his comments.
" I teleported myself to the desert city them searched everywhere but had just missed her. Aramis must be so distressed and its all my fault. I let Nikkii get me frustrated during our argument. But I stood up to her this time."
Naldany went over to the horse and hoisted herself up and dried her eyes.
" Lets hunt my love."

Phelan smiled at her comment and swung himself up gracefully to the sadle. He sat behind her and wrapped his arms about her.
"Lead on my dear, our prey awaits us." Phelan said with a evil grin.

They rode for another hour till they reached the inn. It looked like trouble have recently fallen there. Naldany's heart sank when she saw that there was no sign of Aramis or Keyra.
" We need to ask the people inside maybe they could tell us something."
