Deep in the forest, no light could be seen, save for the solitary flicker of a small candle. A face, pale. Eyes, red. Cheeks, moist. Quill in hand, she writes.
When darkness had me in its hold, You held me tighter.
When my life was not my own, You gave it to me.
When I felt pain, You took it from me.
When I ached, You soothed.
When know one knew, You understood.
When life was so far, You brought it so close.
When I had nothing, You gave me everything.
When no one would hear me, You listened.
When I had never known love, You, you showed me.
She roles the parchment into a neat cylinder, and holds it close, hands quavering. “…..Bornus….” She whispers to herself. The dark elf places the parchment over the candle, the flames illuminating her tear stained face. She blows a small breath, silent darkness falls over her again.

(That was a great poem. And as a matter of factly, that poem describes everything that has happened to me about 30 times in my life. It really opened up a new door for me. Thank you Slyfoot!)

( That was a really good poem Slyfoot. The darkness and everything, when it's lit up, the poem is writ, and then darkness falls on her again.. That was very interesting.. Keep it up!)
