As Kalysta slept in Wilkens bed, her head filled with the last two nights events. Visions of red eyed elves and delfs ran through her mind, rampaging trolls lurked in the shadows, and the ever present feeling of being watched....
She walks down a long corridor, ever alert that she is being followed. Not knowing where she is headed and not recognizing her surroundings, Kalysta continues to walk. Suddenly, she sees a portion of wall before her grow smoky. The scream builds up inside her, but she cannot speak and finds herself paralyzed with fear.
As if drawn by an invisible rope, quite against her will, she continues on her way through the smoky wall, finding herself face to face with the looming structure that was her prison many nights. Unable to control her feet, she walks almost zombie like to the ramp and through the front door. She heads down the staircase, and finds herself facing the door to her fathers quarters.
"enter, Kalysta, for I know you are there..." his voice booms menacingly from behind the heavy oak door.
She pleads silently for her feet to move in any other direction, but as she fears worst, she pushes open the door and stands before her father.
"Its just a dream, its just a dream, just a dream..." she whispers over and over as if trying to convince herself.
"Child... this may be a dream, but I am real..." he spits at her, sneering, "and you have crossed me for the last time..."
He takes a single step toward her, and than stops... smiling evily, he pulls a parchment from behind his back,
"...With blessings from the king and queen, and as stated by Royal decree... I, the Grand Defiler J'Narus, hereby state you, Kalysta, are a traitor. From this day forward, let it be known, she is banished and there is a price on her head... 200,000 tunar to whomever brings her to me - dead."
Kalysta woke with a scream.... he knew. He knew she was alive still, and he would be looking for her... this didnt surprise her, she merely thought he would give up this chase and leave her be... there must be another reason. Why did he want her dead? Wasnt banishment enough? To never see Neriak again... but it was just a dream, wasnt it?
As she thought to herself, Renee entered the room carrying a tray of food.
"Your breakfast, child, now eat. You must keep up your strength."
