(As taken from Kyrinn and Mnemosys' Tower of Lore)
Humans of the east tend to be drawn into the paths of the shadow, often binding themselves to the forbidden dark arts. They can be Bards, Clerics, Enchanters, Magicians, Necromancers, Rogues, Shadowknights, Warriors, or Wizards. Humans of the west are the most versatile in their innate knowledge of magic, faith, and the sword. They can be Bards, Clerics, Druids, Enchanters, Magicians, Monks, Paladins, Rangers, Rogues, Warriors, or Wizards. The denizens of the regal city of Qeynos and harsh Freeport are as different from each other as day and night. The folk of Qeynos are generally good natured, well mannered and hospitable. The people who inhabit Freeport are indifferent to most things but some are disciples of dark and foul gods. As of this time the Humans are treading a dark path that leads to civil war and unrest in Tunaria. The other races they share Tunaria with watch in fear as the impending war threatens to tear Tunaria apart. Racial Tensions: Dark Elves, Trolls ( Necromancers and Shadow Knights are like the other evil classes unwelcome in good aligned communities. )
Humans are the most abundant race in Norrath. Some would say only rats outnumber them, but then again no one has taken a census of either humans or rats. Good, neutral, or evil, humans pursue a gamut of philosophies.
With the exception of shamanic studies only, humans may pursue the professions of their choice undeterred by racial shortcomings. From bard to wizard, they can do it all. But if they are doing it at night, they'd best have a good light source, or else they will have to camp until dawn in order to see their hands in front of their faces. Humans are an open-minded lot. They accept almost any other race, and believe in just about any deity other than Cazic-Thule the Faceless. They occupy and dominate the two main human cities, Qeynos and Freeport. In these bustling metropolises, humans begin their journeys.
