Nikkii stumbled as she went back to her chair knocking over several books from the Denouncer's old collection. She picked up each one till she got to a strange looking book. This book was actually a journal of the late Denouncer's journal. Its started from his days as an ackolyte in the church. His first wife and Synriu's birth, then a trip to the dwarven lands. And the red haired girl. This puzzled Nikkii heavily, she sat down a continued to read.
I traveled to the dwarven land of Moradhim, we had a failed raid on that awful city. I was collecting the bodies of the fallen with Synriu close by learning the trade. Then a dwarf approached me plain to see the he was a priest himself. He asked me a favor.... to care for a child that he could no longer keep with him anymore. At first I thought of him as a madman. But, I was provoked with curiousity and asked to see this child that a Dwarf couldn't keep. He introduced himself as Solomon Frostiron, I returned the introduction to him. He lead me to his Dwelling to the east of Moradhim. At first I thought this would be a waist of my time. We sat down inside his home and he asked to speak to me out of earshot of my daughter. I agreed and we went into another room he looked around a bit then called out the name Nikkii. I was taken back when a small tier'dal child came out of a closet she had red hair. Remarkable , I thought but she feared me so as she clutched the Dwarfs leg.
He told me that he found her amongst a teir'dal settlement that they destroyed a few days before. She was very sickly looking and malnurished. Some of the warriors beat her and they a few rocks at her. She crawed over to what he assumed was her parents with a deep gash over her eye and laid there waiting to die with them. Her eyes is what he said got to him and he didn't have the heart to kill her but instead picked up the weaken child and healed her, much to the others disapproval. Days after she still refused to eat and fell terribly ill, He felt her starting to slip away and he wouldn't stand for it. He scribed his more powerful heals and curatives on her even putting his essance into her. He said that his once red hair faded to silver and her turned red as she got stronger. After that she was a quiet but happy child, but the counsil wouldn't stand for it, then she followed him into Moradhim and almost exposed herself to the guards there. That was three months ago he said and the counsil was calling for her execution. I knew this would be risky bringing an outsider in but this could prove worth it as she could be fused with more magics and the hair would be envied. I accepted and he asked if she would retain the name since it was his dead wife's name. I agreed since it did not concern me and we went to Neriak.
Nikkii sat crying knowing that she was saved by a dwarf that which she hated the most. And she wasn't even nobility. She would make a trip to moradhim one day to visit her.... savior.

Kalysta knocked softly on Nikkii's door before entering. Nikkii had fallen asleep on the chair in her room, books was scattered all over the floor. Near her was a journal that was still opened to a enter that looked like she had just been reading. Kalysta picked it up and read the contents, then was a bit taken back by what she saw. Lady Nikkii is part dwarf atleast spiritually no wonder she can be more hostile than most teir'dal, and for that matter Darlena too. Nikkii started to wake up as Kalysta continued to read of her.
" Put that down.... its full of lies....... What are you doing in my chambers?"
" I came to check on you, there has been no word on Aramis or Naldany."
Nikkii sighed and went towards her cabinet to change into her night attire.
" I'm going to see the head of the Fenn'dal house in the morning child. You will be incharge of things here until my daughter returns.... I swear that if she has been defiled by that elf I'll have him killed."
" My'lady I think she is in love with him..... why even bother them ... atleast he is rich."
" I would like a grandchild to be proud of...... now go to bed."
Nikkii showed her out the door and went to her bed not realizing that Kalysta still had the journal.

Kalysta went straight to her chambers and locked her door, she tossed the journal on the bed and sat down. She opened it back to the chapter she had left off with and continued on.
The girl didn't say a word as we went back to Neriak. I will have to make up something about her...... perhaps a child from one of my mistresses..... yes I think that will do.
Two days now since we returned to the church. Most of the other priestesses have taken an interest in her and Synriu has accepted her as a sister, and that girl has followed her everywhere. I had the archmage gage her ability and was a bit surprised of how he said she had greater physical strength than the average teir'dal woman and her healing was also more concentrated than any other child. I did make the right choice but know I must condition her mind now she wasn't thinking like a teir'dal but more like a dwarf. She lacked the harshness required to be an O'seth.
I had Synriu ruin a project Nikkii was assigned. Her teacher punished her severely for her ~ disrespect~. Of coarse I beat her as well for the shame she brought me. I was proud that she cried very little despite the welts placed on her back. She started focusing more on her studies but she still harbored little ill will towards her teacher for beating her so I had Synriu ruin her ceremonal robe the night before her ritual prayer. This time she was beaten to the point of unconciousness. Synriu took her back to her chambers and healed her wounds then told her that her teacher did that to her and she had better do something or the beatings would continue. The next morning at breakfast she had brought a dagger to the table and when she passed by her teacher she stabbed him in the neck killing him. She was punished yet again but now she had tasted blood. The look of innocence was fading from her countence and hate started to swell.
Kalysta felt tired and tucked the journal away and blew out the candles in her room. Maybe she had found something to gain power over Nikkii and could get her to do what she wanted.

Nikkii awoke earlier than usual. She cleaned up herself and her chambers before she headed out into the courtyard. Most of the house was silent still from being up so late. One of her attendants was on her way to Nikkii's room when she came across her. Nikkii had noticed she was with child as her abdomin area was enlarged.
" Greetings my'lady I have news of your daughter." Nikkii's eyes perked up as the woman went on." She was seen with the govenor's son again and believed she was ...... intiment with him .... as they sent the night together."
" Why are you telling me .... I would not want to be in a foul mood so early.. what else?"
" There is talk of a possible invasion of dal and teir'dal by humans."
Nikkii chuckled at that thought and sat down on a bench.
" Wake Kalysta the children will be up soon and how far along are you?"
" I am nearly full term my'lady...."
" I see I want you to take more time preparing yourself send your subordinate till you have had your child."
" Yes my'lady and also ...... The lady Lilyth from Hazinak will be visiting us..."
" Great that harlot........ hard to believe my father, She younger than me and was almost my mother in law... Fine you may go now."
Nikkii got up and went to her chambers to apply somemore perfume before setting out.She knocked on Kalysta's door and told her that she was heading to the Fenn'dal house and would be back shortly. She took her time going from the church to the house of Fenn'dal. She made sure her hair was stright before approaching a guard of the house.
" I wish to see your master here."

The guard answered her quickly.
"Of course, mi'lady. This way."
The guard led her into the house and into the main room. The room was quite cold. The fireplace lay vacant and unused yet this morning. The guard left her to the empty room. She could see just from the room, that Patryas ran his house very differently than she did.
As Nikkii was looking at a painting on the mantle, Patryas silently walked into the room. He made no sound. He quietly walked over to the decanter and poured two glasses of wine. The clinking of glass startled Nikkii and she turned around.
"Pleased to make your aquaintance, Lady Nikkii," he said to her as he handed her the wine goblet.

Nikkii met his gaze as she took the goblet from him. After taking a sip she came closer to him.
" Your alot more...... handsome than I thought you would be. I came to personally meet the man that would assist in helping me remove my father from power. But I do not like to be in debt to anyone and I know that assistance comes with a price.... What is yours.
Nikkii came directly infront of him and ran her hand down his face then moved even closer. She noticed what looked like a piece of one of Darlena's dresses. She smiled as she looked back to him.
" Is there anything I can offer you ...... ?"

"Why must Tier'dal women act this way," he thought to himself, half rolling his eyes. He made no movement away from her. He just stood there. The last thing he needed was more ties to the O'Seth house, much less, one so personal. The scent of her perfume was heavy. He pulled out the clothing piece of Darlena's and laid it on the table.
He did not answer right away. He simply looked her in the eyes as he sipped his wine. He did have to admit, the O'Seth women were very striking. He in turn put his hand on her face. Many considered this exchange ancient in noble Tier'dal tradition. He wondered if she remembered or knew. She was quite intoxicating. However, he did not know how to proceed with her.
He removed his hand.
"Thank you for your compliments. To relieve your debt," he said as he looked her up an down, "all I ask of you, Lady Nikkii, is for our houses to help eachother. To be an example, for once in this city," he replied with a wicked smile on his face.

Nikkii smiled at him and his thoughts. She sipped a bit more wine and looked him in his eyes.
" Then perhaps we should strengthen our bond."
Nikkii pulled him closer and kissed him. She knocked his goblet from his hand and dropped her own.
" Don't deny yourself of the pleasure ..... I know that my touch has captivated you."

Patryas slowly tasted the new flavor on his lips. There was a reason that Innoruuk made the female Tier'dal so beautiful and tempting. To control the male Tier'dal. Patryas simply smiled back at her. He took her wrist in his hand and pushed her away. Slowly a look of shock came over Nikkii's face. He then took her hand in his and kissed it.
"I'm very flattered, Lady Nikkii. And your touch would captivate anyone, but I do not believe this is the best route for this new friendship to follow," he said with a tone of annoyance in his voice. He tried not to anger her.
"Believe me, the various lords of Neriak are going to be very jealous when they hear about this," he added.
Nikkii stood there in all her radiance. Perhaps one day, he thought to himself. He picked up the wine goblets and re-filled them.
"How about we start slow?" he asked handing her the wine.

Nikkii smiled as she accepted the wine from him and looked for a place to sit.
" Very well but don't keep me waiting... I wanted to see what you looked like and am pleased with what I see. But your house lacks a .... womans touch, I could send some of my female servants over to help if you wish."
She sat in one of the chairs in the room and took a sip from the goblet, then fixed her dress properly. She pulled her hair back and fixed her eyes on Patryas.
" May I ask the reason behind your assistance with my house? And I noticed you have a history with my niece's husband Phelan."

Patryas sneered at the offer of a "woman's" touch.
"Thank you. But if I had wanted a woman's touch, I would have allowed my mother to live. As for Phelan, we are old acquaintances. And I helped you because your house was in a dangerous state with your guard half dead, and the chain of command was ratttled from the battle. There were many spectators that day. Someone could have made a move and could have caught you off-guard," Patryas replied.
A house servant came in the room and started a fire in the fireplace. Patryas gave the servant a muderous look. He then turned back to Lady Nikkii. He knew he had to blow more sunshine in her face.
"And the O'Seth holds too much sway in this city to just be taken over. Whether it was your decrepit father or another house," he added. He poured some drops of blood and poison from his vial in his goblet and walked over to Nikkii and offered her the same.

His coldness was starting to unnerve her but she forced herself to appear unfazed by the thought of him enjoying his brand of lifestyle. But that he was pouring what appeared and smelled like blood into his drink. As he offered her some of its contents and not wanting to appear weak infront of a man she held her goblet out. He poured a bit into her drink then she took another sip. Almost instantly she felt sick as she knew it was poison and blood. The taste almost made her vomit, but as she put her free hand over her mouth and cast a small curitive spell on herself, and looked to him and smiled trying to save face.
" I had only seen a few knights do this...."
Nikkii still felt the effects of the horrid tasting mixture. Soon Kalysta knocked at the door and peeped inside.
" My'lady the ceremony is nearly ready.... they are awaiting you."
" Well my'lord I thank you for your assistance and ...... don't keep me waiting too much longer. I would like to discuss counsil affairs.. tonight would be my first meeting as a memeber."
Nikkii offered him a customary female bow as she waited for his dismissal of her.

Patryas gave Kalysta an angry look. He breathed deep when she walked into the room. This one was not the one the silent master had caught. He walked over to the decanter and put his goblet down, never taking his eye off of Kalysta. He then turned his gaze to Nikkii. She had kept her composure well. With a stern and bothered face, he walked the two of them to the door. He then remembered something.
"One moment, Lady Nikkii," he said as he turned around and walked back into the main room.
He walked over to the table and picked up the swath of Darlena's clothing. He then calmly walked back to Nikkii and placed it in her hand. His face was on the edge of angry as she took it from him.
"Please make sure the owner of this gets it back," he said with a sudden and penetrating smile.
The two women turned their backs on him and exited.
"We shall continue this another time, Lady Nikkii," he called after them as they walked down the steps.

" This is Darlena's .... Why was she there."
Nikkii walked away angrily back to her house, suddenly she lent over the edge and vomitted into the water. She yried to hold down the mixture that Patryas could drink. How could she be so weak... She was better than him she thought.
" Lady are you ok?"
" I'm fine ... Have Darlena sent for and brought back here.... I must get ready for the ceremony."

" Ma'am ... another woman invited herself into the courtyard and she said she is an O'seth matron. Called herself Lilyth."
Nikkii's face turned a shade paler at the mention of that name. she picked up the front of her dress and went in a hurry back into the church. In the courtyard stood a female tir'dal surrounded by men. They appeared to be servants of hers. She was dressed in a see though gown that her undergarments could be seen plainly. The servant parted as she went toward Nikkii and Kalysta with a devious smile.
" Madam Lilyth ... What brings you here. Is not the treasures from the ruined dal city not meeting your approval?"
Lilyth lifted Nikkii's chin to meet her gaze.
" I came to see why I herd that the grand denouncer was slain ..... And it seems I herd right child. Why did you kill my benefactor?"
" He was a vampire and was planning on using Naldany's son as an ... "
" Innoruuk's avatar... yes I know I came here to collect the child and complete the ritual, but I know now it wasn't completed and the child was stolen."
" Kalysta ... leave us, I wish to speak with my step mother in private."
Kalysta nodded and left the courtyard with the servants leaving the two to themselves.
" Lilyth I... won't let you live if you are undead as well."
" No I control them though .... and if you try anything stupid I will tell of your ... halfbreed history..... Beside I introduced the denouncer to Lord Mistmoore."
"You're a evil wench.... And you have no right to keep the family name."
" I was his bride and still oversee the Hazernak church. but I tire of this talk ... Show me to my room and we will talk further after I see to some things."
