well i have to say that was really good, and i think i need to go for a walk to work of the food.
chevonne gets up from the table stretches and looks at her parents.
i think i will take ahamae on a small tour of the town if you two dont mind
just dont go outside the tunnel, you know the guards are extra quick at night
and dont be gone for long, its late and you just got home chevonne, you need your sleep
we wont go outside father, you taught me better than that and yes mother i wont keep us out all night, i will stay away from the lodge
chevonne grabs her cousins hand and smiles at her and runs out the door before her parents can make any more cautions or objections to their late walk.
ok i know of a spot inside that is quiet and we wont be bothered by anyone.
chevonne takes her cousin to a log that is across the lake from a look out. there is no one else around

Fizgig had stayed with them the entire time. As Ahamae looked around, he began to walk in a circle around the two women, his tracks soon making a path around them as if it were a sacred shield.
Satisfied they would not be disturbed, she sat down on the log and first told of her resolve to embrace her birth family. Ahamae told of the death of her uncle at the hands of dark elves, of her lack of emotion on the subject, the dream she'd had for as long as she could remember, and the dark elf who had spoken to her.
"It was as if he was reading my mind, Chev. I do not know why, but he scared me with his words. My dream still haunts me, and I have yet to understand it's meaning. That is why I would like to speak to the elder's about it." She looked down at Fizgig as he moved to sit between her feet and she scooped him into her arms as if she were a girl holding onto a stuffed doll. "I don't know what he wanted, but he said he would be back."

while ahamae was talking chevonne sat still and listened. she realized that her cousin had a dream of prophecy and she wondered if it was the same prophecy that their grandfather told her about.
when ahamae finished speaking chevonne sat quiet for a minute thinking of what her cousin has told her.
i am glad that you have decided to stay with us, i am sad tho for your uncle.
the elders wont be able to help much with your dream, i can tho. they might be able to tell us what they think it is.
i have something to tell you, it is something that our grandfather told me before i left here.
he asked me to find you because we are apart of a prophecy and i think your dream is apart of that prophecy but i get ahead of myself.
our grandfather told me this
" two female shamans from our family will go out in the world with a group of people of many races and destroy a great and mighty evil.
they will be victorious but the road to this will be full of treachery, sadness and anger.
many will be lost in this fight but in the end goodness shall prevail.
you will meet ones who you think are evil but are good and you will also meet ones that you think are good but are evil.
but most of all, you will realize that what you see isnt always what is true"
it never made much sense to me but i told him i would find you and i will make him proud of me.
it is sad that you never got a chance to meet him but i think that with your dream and with what grandfather told me is going to happen soon.
and i think that wilkens knows something, she said that my talents may be needed soon and that i should prepare myself in case of that need.
i think what we need to do is to go and find wilkens and make her tell us what is going on.
of course we will have to find a different reason for leaving because father does not approve of wilkens.
he says that he sees a great anger inside her and he worries for my safety.
if you want we can still go and talk to the elders tomorrow and see what they have to say about all this. i will also tell them of what grandfather told me.

She listened to her cousin's words carefully and finally nodded her head. "I need to speak with the elder's any way...I do not know if Uncle has told them of me or not, but they have yet to meet me, and you said I needed to meet them soon."
She sighed and cuddled up to Fizgig again. "Besides. At this moment, anything would be better than retelling all that and I don't like thinking about that delf."

chevonne sits there staring at the ground at her feet for a few minutes.
i dont know who that delf could have been, it seems strange to me.
i dont blame you for being frightened tho, i would be as well.
i honestly dont know what to say about that. we could talk to mother about it before we talk to the elders. she may know something.
but i think we had better head back before father sends out the guards to look for us.
chevonne gets up and turns to her cousin, she doesnt look good but its understandable after all she has been thru. what she needs is a good night sleep.
the two girls head to back to the house and when they get there chevonne sees that her mother is sitting at the table pretending to sew and she noticed her father peeking out around his chair as soon as they walked in. chevonne smiles at the concern that they show.
mother, could you make some of your special tea for us, you know the stuff you make for me after a long trip.
oh of course dear, i should have thought of that before, sit down girls it wont be long

Ahamae did as she was told, but she scooted back a bit from the table. She still held Fizgig in her arms. With her thoughts full enough, she could not think of much to say. She was not that talkative any way. So, she merely held her wolf friend close to her and let her head fall so her face rested in his fur.
Fizgig, though named a bit oddly, was well aware that something was wrong with his master. It was not merely her actions either. The wolf had been atuned to her emotions from the first time they met. He made a sad sound, a mix between a whimper and a low howl, as he shifted in her arms to rest his head under her chin. She smiled at him, sadly and confused, and leaned back in the chair.

chevonne sits back and doesnt say anything. she is thinking about all that mae had said to her.
she doesnt know what to do with the information. well when the two of them go and talk to the elders maybe they can tell them what is needed.
here is the tea girls, now both of you drink it up.
she takes a cup of the tea to her husband and sits down at the table with a cup of it.
she sits back and looks at both of the girls knowing that they have lots going on in their heads but she knows that if they need to talk they will
chevonne starts to feel the relaxation that the tea brings and she welcomes it.
she hopes that mae will be able to relax and that the dreams leave her alone the poor girl needs to get some sleep
i think i will go up now and go to sleep. good night mother she goes to her mother and gives her a hug good night father
night, you two sleep well, im heading to bed as well
chevonne heads to mae, and hugs her good night mae, i hope you sleep well

Ahamae thanked her aunt for the tea, but only took two sips of it. Mostly, she just stared into the cup. She looked up as everyone started to go to bed and nodded her head slightly. "Good night." She said, getting up and taking Fizgig to her room.
Yet she did not sleep. Her mind and thoughts would not let her get any rest that night. The tea had helped a little, but it only lasted for a short time. She lay on her bed, her eyes open and staring at the ceiling as Fizgig snuggled up to her side to sleep.

Ahamae was up and out of bed before dawn the next morning. She hadn't gotten any sleep at all the night before. Every time she closed her eyes she saw her dream or heard the voice of the delf. So, she began making breakfast for everyone, working as silently as she could.
Her expression was tired and she moved a little sluggish, but mostly, she was distracted still. Her mind kept wandering back and forth from her dream to the delf and back again.

chevonne wakes up the next morning refreshed and eager to start the day.
as she bounces out of her bed she can smell breakfast cooking, just the smell of it starts her tummy rumbling.
after she gets herself dressed for the day she bounds downstairs to find that her parents arent even up yet and its her cousin cooking breakfast.
well good morning mae, i hope you slept well.
i can hardly wait for us to go see the elders and i hope that we get to go on another adventure
chevonne finally stands still long enough to notice that her cousin looks like she hasnt slept for a few days.
what is wrong, didnt you sleep last night?

Ahamae turned slightly from her cooking to look at her cousin before turning back to the stove. She shook her head slightly, her expression one that seemed lost in thought.
"No. I...could not manage to clear my mind enough."
OOC: If you've ever seen The Last Unicorn, she kinda looks and sounds like Almathia in her human body.

chevonne plops into the closest chair almost tipping herself over and looks at her cousin closely.
she doesnt know how to respond to her cousin, it almost looks like she is in another world.
she watches her cousin move around the rooms without even really paying attention to what she is doing.
she gets up and goes to the window by the door and looks outside. she sees that the sun is just coming over the mountains.
the elders will be up and at the elders lodge by now.
if you made enough food to feed an army i would suggest we take some to the elders and introduce you to them and talk to them.
we can talk to them while they eat the breakfast you have made.
it would give them some time to think on what we have to tell them as well.
chevonne turns back to her cousin and hopes that she will get some sleep soon. for if the prophecy is right they will both be needing their sleep

Ahamae seemed to come a little out of her trance when her cousin spoke of the elders and nodded her head slightly. She looked around and blinked, not realizing she had made so much food.
She gathered up a large portion, though there was plently left for the family, and began packing to take to the elders for their breakfast. She didn't speak as she moved about. She was too tired to.
Once she was done, the two of them began to walk to the elder's hut, Ahamae following behind her cousin silently as they walked.

the two girls came up to a long log building, chevonne stops at the door and opens the door to the lodge.
what you see is a long table down the center of the lodge, there is 3 huge fire places, one on each wall.
at one end of the long table sits 7 older looking barbarians, all talking quietly.
the conversations come to a stop when they spot the two girls at the door.
Good morning, we have brought you breakfast that was made by my cousin.
May I introduce her now, this is Ahamae Leafsteel.
She is the daughter of Yvonne and Jafron Raven.
chevonne nudges her cousin and they walk towards the elders with the food.
once they get to the elders they put the food on the table and began dishing out the food.
once they have served all the elders chevonne nudges her cousin again.
ahamae looks at her cousin in confusion not knowing what she is trying to say.
it finally dawns on her that her cousin was trying to tell her to talk to the elders
Hello, my name is Ahamae Leafsteel. I was brought up in Moradhim by an elf named Ahanae and a dwarf named Dagget.
I have come to you to because i have always known of my background.
My mother told me as soon as I was able to understand adoption.
I met Chevonne not too long ago and she told me a story her, our, grandfather told her.
And I told her of what my mother told me of my real mother.
chevonne nudges her again and when she looked at her she notices that chev is taking off her bracers, she started undoing hers.
After we chevonne spoke of the story she told me that there was a mark that would prove that i am of her family.
Ahamae holds out her wrist and shows the elders the mark of the hammer.
just as she was going to continue one of the elders held up his hand
We know why you two are here.
Ahamae, you have had dreams havent you and Chevonne your grandfather told you the prophecy didnt he.
What we have to say about all of that is that they are true.
But we can not help you figure out the dreams nor the prophecy.
You need to find another much wiser than us.
You need to find an ogre that has escaped the curse, and lives as a bear.
That is all we have to say about this.
Ahamae, are you willing to learn all we have to teach you?
yes
Very good, your lessons will start as soon as you two come back from your travels.
We also have come to the decision that your marriages will wait until you fulfill your prophecy.
Ahamae, you are a very good cook. I look forward to enjoying more of your food once your travels are done.
You two may go now.
Travel safe young ones.
chevonne grabs her cousins hand and gently leads her outside.
ok, lets head back to the house and tell my parents about what the elders had to say.
the two girls walk silently back to the house both thinking of the travels ahead of them.

Ahamae's head swam. People knew too much about her. Ogre? Bear? How were they going to find an ogre who had escaped the curse? What curse was he talking about, for that matter? Her head began to throb as they entered the house and she sat down in a chair at the table with a moan.
Her head fell into her arms, her fingers moving in circular motions over her temples to try and ease the pain in her head as she let out a heavy sigh.
