"No, Dar none of this is your fault, in fact I must appologize for injuring you. I dropped you and you hit your head while you were sleeping. " Phelan said hanging his head. " No the elf known as Keyra did this."
Phelan looked to Kalysta and worried. This was his fault, he should have seen through the guise he told himself. For a few moments he forgot the elf and his gnomish squire.

"Oh my poor Lady...your peer here, what did you say your name was again? is correct and it is that poor misguided hunter."
turns to to Phelan.
"I understand your mistrust, it seems that it is buried deep in the bosom of what defines your people. I weep for your souls. Now my beautiful Lady...rest and drink some of this it will help you to heal quicker."
takes some leaves from a pouch and crushes them gently
"squire, I require some water"
Nobel searches quickly through her belongings and finally comes upon a skin of water.
"Drink this my lady...I have been told that it has a curious effect on one's in your...umm...delicate state...it surpresses your ultrasenses so that when Luclin rises...it may not set off the ...transformation"

Darlena took the drink carefully looking at it before she tried it.
" It tastes terrible. But the hunters have there own ways of bring that about."
Dar then realized what Phelan said about what happened to Kalysta. "Keyra? How did she get that close to us I don't understand where is the other two?" Darlena uses Elindar to help her stand up as she waits for a responce from either of the two men.

" Wilkens chased after the demented hunter, I sent Shal to go find her.... You two know each other? " Phelan Said in suprise.
Phelan turns to Elindar and bows
" I appologize, it is just, I am wanted for murder in your lands. I appreciate your assistance dearly and I will go with you when you are ready to leave. Aramis' brother has already found me and allowed me to live but, I deserve what ever fate your people place upon me. " Phelan said honestly.

" Yes I know him he... he... talked me into sparing the village of kara..." Darlena was a bit embarrassed by the fact she was admitting she was swooned out of her tasking so much so that she was blushing as she spoke.
" Elindar do you think your father could do something for him?"
just then Wilkens and Shalandra come back into view of the group wilkens looked like she had been in a scuffel. Darlena's eyes narrowed as she saw Shalandra near her. Camly Darlena made her way past Noble and Kalysta then past Wilkens. Phelan wasn't sure why Darlena was going toward her then remebered that Shalandra had something to do with the incident the night before. He could see her muscles tense and he knew there was about to be more violence. And if so Darlena might really hurt her, but he was too slow to react as Darlena grabbed Shalandra by the throat and was lifting her into the air slowly taking her life.
" You little wench your associated with them."

Phelan was about to rush to Shalandra's aid but then Darlena's words struck him like a rock in the gut.
"Shal was with the hunters? How could I have been so blind? I mean the signs were there weren't they? The uneasiness between her and the group. She was always sneaking off.
That means she was in on Kalysta being hurt. I should kill her. No, No, that would be to easy. Slit her throat and watch her gasp for air for hours....No, they could use her to draw out the hunters but she isnt' going to do so unscathed." Phelan thought to himself
Phelan stormed up next to Darlena who was holding her far off the ground. In one blinding fluid motion Phelan drew forth his short sword and carved a deep line down the side of her face. Blood gushed freely from the wound.
Shalandra screamed and jerked around violently, Darlena just held her fast and glanced at Phelan. Phelan was busy glaring at Shalandra, his eyes nothing more than blood red slits.
" Wear this mark well, you will have it till the end of your days, which is not far off I promise. Let Darlena do what she will with you, but if I see you again I will run you through, you betrayed my trust, you harmed one of my friends and it just so happens that she is also the one who owns my heart, you just made the biggest mistake of your life, hope it was worth it. You can tell Keyra she is on borrowed time as well. " Phelan snarled as he sheathed his sword and went and sat by Kalysta.

" Wait please you don't understand they made me do it."
" Oh they made you do it... how?" Darlena growled
" Lady Nikkii promised me."
" My mother... what did she tell you?" Darlena drops Shalandra and she gasps for air.
" Phelan please forgive me I'll do what ever you want just don't kill me."
" Shalandra is what they're saying true?"
" She used the hunters orb on me."
" I was spying on them. And I needed to gain their trust."
" Leave us now Shalandra.. " Darlena ordered
" Then know this Phelan..... Keyra will kill you none of you stand a chance against their best hunters... they have been using rookies so far Keyra showed you that."
Shalandra gathers herself then slowly walks off.
" You'll need me you will see."

Meanwhile, Elindar and Nobel watched and waited. The young gnome flinched and looked away as Phelan's blade cut into Shalandra's cheek. She thought she had seen the last of the blood for a while.
The bard stared at Shalandra as she stalked past, not acknowledging the presence of the two strangers. He committed her face to memory -- it would be easy enough with the scar on her face but he wanted to remember the one who had tormented Darlena.
He was glad to see that Darlena's strength had returned, and also pleased that the young warrior traveling with her seemed genuinely concerned about her well-being.
He cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "Friends," he began. "Your companion here needs to be rid of this poison. If you do not wish to go to Klik Anon, we could always make our way to Hodstock. They are a neutral community, perhaps you'll have an easier time with one of their healers?"

Phelan was instantly pulled from his anger by that statement, all he wanted was Kal to be ok. He didnt' care where they had to go, even if it meant going to Fayspire itself. Phelan could die happy knowing that Kal was out of danger and now his friends were onto the deciever amongst them.
He still didnt' know if this elf and gnome had decided to let him go or if their intent was to drag him back for justice, either way Phelan would cooperate.
Phelan looked at Kalysta laying on the ground with concern in his eyes. He realized he would do anything for Kalysta, not that he wouldnt' for any of his friends but there was something more, something deeper when it came to Kalysta.
"where ever I must go so that she will be ok, just let us be on our way. " Phelan said with a few tears running down his cheek as he cradled Kalysta in his arms.

Shalandra stopped when she herd Nobel mention Hodstock. A smile flashed on her face knowing she could still revenge on Wilkens.
" Yes go to hodstock ... Keyra is heading there and Lady Nikkii is there as well .. so go there Darlena and Phelan..."
" So I was right you are working for my mother." Darlena said coldly
" I didn't know she was a relative ...."
Darlena turns to Elindar and Nobel with a smile.
"No.. we should go to the Gnome city as quickly as we can they are neutral so the hunters cant attack us."

Phelan had forgotten his anger for the time being and was nothing but full of concern and sadness. He didnt' think he could suffer the loss of Kalysta. He wept silent tears as he followed the Elf, the Gnome, Darlena and Wilkens, with Kalysta cradled gently between his arms.
Though Kalysta was sweating and her forehead was burning with fever, the rest of her body was cool. Phelan knew that there wasn't much time and was ready to start running if need be. He would run till he couldn't take it any more and run some more, he wouldn't let one he loved die because of him again.

Elindar sang a tune to speed their travel to the underground city of Klik'Anon. His squire Nobel was quite pleased at the thought of returning to her home. Her good friend Pfirble had been working diligently on a new chocolate-making clockwork, and had recently sent word that he had made some major progress. The mage knew that such an invention would be a big hit across Tunaria.
Ahead of her, she watched Elindar, Darlena and Wilkens striding easily, even engaged in conversation. She turned her head and frowned, for the young warrior carrying the injured Tier Dal was breathing hard and obviously struggling to keep up.
"Sir," she shouted, slowing her pace. "A moment please."
Elindar stopped but did not look pleased. Nobel always seemed to make him wait.
The gnome closed her eyes and began speaking in her strange tongue. Slowly, the earth in front of her began to shudder... just slightly at first but becoming more and more noticeable. A form began to arise from the ground, rock and stone, gravel and dirt, somehow transforming into arms and legs. Within about five minutes, an Earth Elemental towered over the mage.
Nobel nodded at the creature, then turned to face Phelan. "Let him carry your friend. It will speed our journey and allow us to bring her aid that much quicker." She found herself holding her breath -- pride ran deep in this dark elf, and she hoped that this would not be an insult to him.
Indeed, Phelan seemed to struggle with his thoughts, uneasy about leaving Kalysta in the hands of these strangers. The gnome's words made sense. He stooped and lay Kalysta gently upon the ground. Nobel signaled to the Elemental, which lurched over and scooped up the necromancer. The mage cast a quickening spell on the creature, then looked at Elindar.
"Ready, sir!"
The party set off once more.

Nikkii quickly was in the forest just passed the green rift. Shalandra was sitting atop a rock her face still bloodied from the scar Phelan gave her.
" What happened to you child? Why aren't you with them?" She heals the wound on her face
" Darlena discovered me and Phelan cut me. Keyra did do some damage before she was called away so they have been slown down m'lady."
" Good then .... clean yourself up and get on we have to make haste."
" One thing M'lady..."
" Yes child speak quickly."
" Darlena.... she said shes your daughter."
" Thats abusured.... I have no child ...especially no lycanthrope child."

Phelan walked and felt guilty for not being able to carry Kal all the way. He felt as if though he were failing her, but as long as she was ok he didn't care. Phelan walked in silence watching the Gnome trail everyone but Phelan. Phelan walked up beside the Gnome and placed his slender hand on her shoulder, gently.
" Thank you " He said and smiled as he with drew his hand.
" I am Phelan... " He said.
" Phelan? Yes...just Phelan, there is no house of Seladria, not anymore, nor do I wish to be associated with it. Yes just Phelan..." Phelan thought to himself and smiled his boyish smile.

With the walls of the gnome city in sight the travelers pick up the pace as they dashed past the watchmen on the gates nearly knocking the small guards to the ground. Nobel stopped to offer her appologies as the got up then left to catch up with the rest.
" Squire which way to the healers?" Elindar said pressing Noble for an answer.
" Inside.... we must go down into city."
Phelan closely followed Elindar, Nobel and her pet into the heart of the city. Darlena and Wilkens slow their pace and stop after crossing the small bridge into the city.
" Darlena.... my sister was a Lycanthrope as you are but I won't try to hurt you because I would be helping the one that killed my mother."
" Then what will you do? ... Go after Keyra? Don't be stupid you wouldn't stand a chance against her."
" It doesn't matter she can be beaten. But I will remain here until Kalysta is safe... Slyfoot must be ignoring me."
" What would make you say such things?"
" Keyra told me... she told me my mother died.."
Darlena turns away from Wilkens and closes her eyes.
" Yes I know... she told me before she left to go to Highboune."
" Why didn't you see fit to tell me of this."
" Sly said she would when she thought the time was right ... atleast take comfort in the fact your mothers murderers was killed as well."
" Well I will finish the job by killing Keyra myself."
Wilkens goes to leave but not before Darlena grabs her wrists an slings her to the ground. Before wilkens could get up Darlena had her foot on her chest pushing her down.
" Your not going anywhere but to your death in this state of mind. Look at how easliy I have you at my mercy and I can't use the beasts strength. Shalandra was right the only hunters and assasins you have faced have been rookiees at best. Keyra sorely outmatches you and Phelan as well I fear. Just stay here till Kalysta is well." Darlena lifts her foot off of Wilkens and helps her up. " Besides your less likely to make a decision you'll end up regreting when you think on a level head."
" What I my thoughts don't change by then?"
" Then you should do what you feel is right. "
Darlena looks down at the tattered garment she wore and sighed.
" I doubt there is a suitable armor around but some decent commoner attire shouldn't me hard to obtain here. Why don't you come with me then we'll check on Kal."
Darlena smiles as she walks into a tailor shop Wilkens slowly behind her.
